The hardest thing you’ll ever do in a karate club is walk through the door for the first time.
Kids
When it comes to exercise and instruction, adults and young children have different physical and psychological factors to take into consideration. Kids are not just mini adults and shouldn't be treated as such in a karate environment. That's why we have a separate club for children which is designed to cater for their attention spans, their physical limitations and their ability to take new things on board. Ages start from 5 years through to 12 years and we have a 60/40 mix of boys and girls respectively. The main aim of the juniors club is to teach children the principles of karate and self defence, for them to get some excercise and to work within structured groups following instructions from an adult. Over a period of time it also has a positive influence on their self discipline and attention spans. Adults | ![]() |
| Have you always wanted to take up karate but always found a reason not to join? The popular concern is that everyone will be like Bruce Lee and you won't fit in - that just isn't the case. Our club is filled with adults who have regular lives outside of the club and are quite normal. Whatever your fitness levels, you can be certain you'll be welcome in the club and be given all the support a beginner needs. We're also not into injuring each other just to show how tough we are. That doesn't mean we can't look after ourselves though. Given time so can you. |
